The 2025 Forum will feature conversations with administrative officials and key leaders in Congress, as well as an array of other compelling speakers and panelists. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with and learn from thought-leaders, tenant and community leaders, policy experts, researchers, and affordable housing practitioners who will discuss the state of the affordable housing and homelessness crisis in America and its solutions.

CHAPA | Solving the Housing Crunch: A Panel Discussion
From Citizens’ Housing & Planning Association: Shelter is among the most critical of all human necessities—without it, most basic human operations are disrupted and social structures break down. Across America, rising costs of housing are displacing people from their homes and their communities. Why? What are the forces behind these increasing costs? What can be done to curb housing cost inflation and create affordable housing?
Join the Waltham Democratic City Committee for an intelligent panel discussion with regional authorities on this topic. Particular attention will be given to understanding the economics of rental housing and discuss the potential solutions to address this housing crunch.

NICHE | What can communities of faith do to assist unhoused families in the midst of this housing crisis?
You’re invited to join the Newton Interfaith Coalition for Housing Equity (NICHE) and several speakers from organizations that have been doing this work faithfully. We will talk about the many ways to help from advocating at the state level, to actually housing families, to where to donate money.
